I wrote daily in diaries and journals for years. Years!!! What has happened? I used to think that I started living life- I was too busy living to have time to write about it. It's partly true, but I love that writing experiences down make them into a special type of memory that remains unchanged forever. It becomes written history.
And let's face it, my memory is not quite what it used to be.
So pros and cons for blogging...GO!
Pro: My memories are forever saved on the world wide web.
Con: The world wide web is not so private...even with a password. Do I really want people reading my thoughts?
Pro: My life is awesome and people should read about it. It's true. It's also a shame I haven't blogged for the last 10 years. You are missing out on some great stuff.
Con: Actually, it's more of a question...Can I really be me? Do I want to me be? Will I create a voice that I think people want to hear? (Ok, it was a lot of questions) I remember not being completely open and honest in my diaries growing up because I knew there was always a possibility that my mom might read it.
Question: Who is my audience? Most of the time I like to write for me. What's the need for posting on the internet? Hmm...
Enough for now...I should get back to my homework...
